The starting point of SCHREI was a wish to investigate how angry women have been portrayed and presented in theatre and performance, in a historical perspective. The inspiration for the expressions created was female characters from Greek tragedies, female performers from the feminist performance art movement in the 60ies and 70ies, and the personal experience of being a female performer.
